Firm Overview
Antonio Gomes Architect (AGA) is a multidisciplinary architecture firm with experience on a wide range of building types and scales. The firm strives to consistently deliver creative unique value driven solutions to its clients by implementing a proprietary iterative design process that includes research and analysis of each problem's context, program, and precedent.
Although a small boutique architectural shop, the firm is capable of providing large scale solutions by working collaboratively with clients, consultants, and contractors supporting the process infrastructure that enables delivery of realized environments from ideas.
Antonio Gomes, AIA, is a licensed architect in New York and Massachusetts. Prior to launching the firm, he practiced at architectural offices in Boston and New York, spending three years at Kallmann McKinnell & Wood Architects and six years at Gwathmey Siegel & Associates Architects. He served in New York as project manager under the leadership and direction of Charles Gwathmey for four years. His career vision was inspired while spending early formative years working at the office of Donald Gillespie.
Antonio's academic work includes teaching at Northeastern University School of Architecture, Boston Architectural College, and Wentworth Institute of Technology as Adjunct and Visiting Professor of Architecture. He has also served as critic at various architecture institutions.
Antonio has a Master's of Architecture degree from the Syracuse University School of Architecture and participated in the Scuola di Architecttura di Firenze study abroad program. He continued his studies at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts after graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering Technology degree from Wentworth Institute of Technology. Antonio was the recipient of the Robert W. Cutler Travel Scholarship at Syracuse and the Cooperative Education Award at Wentworth.
